Application Instructions for Foundation Grants
The Deluxe Corporation Foundation will consider grant proposals from qualifying nonprofit organizations that are located near communities in which Deluxe operates.
Minnesota-Based Nonprofits (Minneapolis/St. Paul Area)
Time Frame
- Arts Organizations - Proposals are accepted each year from Feb. 1 to April 1.
- Youth Organizations (NEW starting in 2010!) - Proposals are accepted each year from May 1 to June 30.
- All Other Organizations - Proposals are accepted each year from Feb. 1 to Nov. 1.
First-Time Funding
If your organization has not received funding from the Deluxe Corporation Foundation in the past, please submit a letter of inquiry that describes:
- Purpose of the organization
- Who the organization serves (e.g., geographic region, age, demographics, etc.)
- What type of funding is needed
Previous Funding
If your organization has received funding from the Deluxe Corporation Foundation in the past, please submit a grant proposal that includes the following supplemental materials:
- Cover letter summarizing the purpose of the requested funds
- Most recent 990PF (must include statements and attachments)
- Operating budget
- Copy of organization's most recent audit
- Project budget (if applicable)
- 501(c)(3) certificate
- List of board members
- List of other corporate funders, with dollar amounts of most recent contributions

Funding decisions are typically made within 2 - 3 months.
Nonprofits Based Outside Minnesota in Deluxe Communities
Foundation grant requests for Deluxe communities outside of Minnesota are reviewed by a contributions committee. We recommend that nonprofit representatives contact the Deluxe Corporation Foundation office to find the Foundation representative in your area and to confirm eligibility for grant consideration.
