Reading Is For Life - Helping students who struggle to read
Since 2000, the Deluxe Corporation Foundation has contributed more than $1 million to school programs that help students who struggle to read. By helping support these students, the Foundation plays a vital role in the development of our youth in communities Deluxe serves.
Reading Is For Life grants are available to schools in Deluxe communities that can demonstrate how the grant will help students who struggle with reading. Criteria includes:
- Reading Is For Life grants are limited to students who struggle with reading. Therefore, schools must clearly demonstrate how the requested funds will be focused on these students.
- The Reading Is For Life grants program is limited to partnerships with accredited schools.
- Schools must be located in the general vicinity of a Deluxe Corporation facility.
- Preference will be given to programs that reach students in grades K-3.
- Preference will be given to programs that include plans for teacher/mentor training.
- Reading Is For Life grants can be used for supplies and curricula needed to implement programs that benefit struggling readers. Please note that this program does not accept proposals for library books or curricula and materials needed for regular classroom teaching.
- Preference will be given to schools that serve a significant number of students who qualify for free/reduced-price lunches.
- Preference may be given to school programs that engage parental involvement.
