According to Paul Kocher, president and chief scientist of Cryptography Research, the perfect storm of cyber-crime and opportunity will hit the nation during this economic downturn.
"With 1.2 million people laid off, they won't have the money they had before to pay," he notes. Historically in past downturns, Kocher explains, "Fraud skyrocketed when people couldn't buy what they wanted."
