Identity thieves can cause a lot of damage in a short amount of time. If someone steals your identity, the most important thing you can do is act quickly. Order a credit report - you are entitled to at least one every 12 months. Make sure it is accurate and only contains information you have authorized. Review the report for any errors and provide feedback to the respective agency.
