Barry McCarthy was named President and CEO of Deluxe in November 2018. Barry is also a member of our Board of Directors.
Prior to joining Deluxe, Barry spent 14 years at First Data Corporation, where he served in a variety of senior executive positions, most recently Executive Vice President and Head of Network and Security Solutions, a $1.5 billion publicly reported segment of the company. Barry is an accomplished executive and financial technology leader with an extensive track record of developing and building tech-driven solutions for financial institutions and small businesses. His strong background in product development, sales, marketing and technology innovation have supported the significant growth of companies from a Silicon Valley start-up, to major divisions of global Fortune 250 organizations.
Barry earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and attended the University of Illinois.
Keith Bush joined Deluxe Corporation in March 2017 as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to Deluxe, Keith was with American Airlines, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Finance. He has held varied roles in treasury and financial planning and analysis for Northwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, US Airways, and American Airlines. While at American, Keith built a strong finance organization and led teams in financial planning and analysis, division finance, corporate purchasing, and insurance and risk management. Joining US Airways in 2009, Keith played a critical role in the planning and integration of the merger between American and US Airways.
Keith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Butler University and a MBA with a finance and strategic management focus from Case Western Reserve University.
Garry Capers joined Deluxe Corporation in September 2019 as General Manager, Cloud Solutions and a member of the Executive Leadership team.
Prior to Deluxe, Garry held executive leadership roles with ADP and Equifax. At ADP, he led a business providing comprehensive outsourcing services that drove revenue, profitability and client satisfaction. A proven leader, Capers has led efforts for global technology companies and top-tier global management consultancies, transforming and accelerating revenue growth. While at Equifax, he oversaw B2B marketing units that focused on marketing data services for corporations, small businesses and consumers. His efforts led to significant revenue growth and margin expansion.
Garry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Morehouse College and a Master of Business Administration in Marketing from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Jeff Cotter joined Deluxe Corporation in June 2018 as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Jeff also became Deluxe’s Chief Administrative Officer in January 2019.
Prior to Deluxe, Jeff was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary with Tennant Company and G&K Services, Inc. Previously, Jeff was a shareholder in the law firm of Leonard, Street and Deinard Professional Association (n/k/a Stinson Leonard Street LLP). He brings more than 20 years of legal experience and a diverse business background that fits with our strategic plan and focus on profitable growth.
Jeff earned his juris doctorate from the William Mitchell College of Law (n/k/a Mitchell Hamline School of Law) and a Bachelor’s degree from Bethel University.
Jane Elliott joined Deluxe Corporation in April 2019 and is Chief Communications and Human Resources Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to Deluxe, Jane was with Global Payments, where she most recently served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer. She worked closely with executive leadership optimizing internal functions with corporate strategic objectives to drive significant cost savings. Jane brings over 20 years of experience in the payment technology space including nine years at First Data.
Jane started her career with Laventhol & Horwath Certified Public Accountants in New York City and received her CPA. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting with high honors from the Rochester Institute of Technology.
She serves on the board of Junior Achievement since 2015 and served on the board of Wnet, Empowering Women In Payments, (2014-2018) and continues to remain active in various committees to promote women.
Tracey Engelhardt began her career at Deluxe in 1990 and has held several leadership positions in the areas of sales, marketing, eCommerce and operations. In June 2012, she was named Vice President for the Direct-to-the-Consumer segment and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. In 2019, Tracey became the Senior Vice President, General Manager, Checks. She oversees Deluxe’s extensive check program that includes banks, credit unions, financial institutions, consumers and more.
Tracey received her Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering and management sciences from Northwestern University.
In May 2008, Pete joined the Executive Leadership Team, moving into his role as Senior Vice President of Fulfillment from his former position as Vice President of Sales and Marketing Operations. In 2019, Pete also assumed responsibility for leading our Financial Services business. He currently is responsible for all aspects of manufacturing, supply management, client services, customer care, payment processing and engineering operations for a wide variety of consumer, financial institution and small business products.
Pete holds a Bachelor’s in math and computer science from St. John's University in Collegeville, Minnesota.
Michael Mathews joined Deluxe in May 2013 as Vice President, Chief Information Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team. Michael was promoted to Senior Vice President in March 2017.
Before joining Deluxe, Michael was Senior Vice President of Strategy & Enterprise Programs at UnitedHealth Group in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His prior experience includes Merrill Lynch where he was the Global Head of Strategy & Delivery for Operations Services & Technology in the Private Wealth business unit. At Merrill Lynch, he also served as the global head of Six Sigma. Earlier in his career, Michael held leadership positions with Unilever, A. T. Kearney and Claremont Technology Group. He also founded and served as CEO of The Infology Group, a boutique management consulting company. As of November 2018, Michael was elected to the Board of Directors of Alerus Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: ALRS), a financial services provider that offers business and consumer banking products and services, residential mortgage financing, wealth management services and numerous other financial services.
Michael holds a degree in business administration, marketing and decision sciences from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
Amanda Parrilli joined Deluxe Corporation in February 2019 as Vice President of Strategy and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Prior to Deluxe, Amanda was with The Home Depot, where she most recently served on the Home Services leadership team. At The Home Depot, Amanda held various strategic development roles leading early-stage growth opportunities, online expansions, and lead generation. Over the course of her 17-year career, Amanda has also spent time working in the payment industry with Citigroup and First Data Corporation.
Amanda holds Bachelor’s degrees in business administration and economics from Trinity University and a Master’s degree in business administration from Harvard Business School.
Michael Reed joined Deluxe Corporation in November 2019 as General Manager, Payments and a member of the Executive Leadership team.
With more than 20 years of global experience leading customer-centric and scaled payments solutions, Michael comes to Deluxe from Barclays in London, where he served as managing director, global payment acceptance & product. While there, he managed payment acceptance and led digital transformation and international expansion initiatives designed to transform the customer experience and expand capabilities into new markets. Prior to joining Barclays, Michael spent eight years at Bank of America Merchant Services, most recently as managing director of its European division, where he was responsible for establishing cross-border solutions for clients.
Michael holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of New Orleans and also spent time in the United States Air Force as a Medical Service Specialist.
Thomas Riccio joined Deluxe Corporation in September 2019 as General Manager, Promotional Products and a member of the Executive Leadership team.
Prior to Deluxe, Thomas held various business and operations roles of increasing responsibility at Office Depot. Including leading the Business Solutions Division, where he spearheaded transformative change from a product-based organization to B2B services platforms providing an omni-channel experience for customers designed to manage services and subscription-based solutions. He also led a $1 billion sales organization for Office Depot that focused on health care, public sector and small business buying groups.
Thomas holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Iona College and training from both Northwestern University and Notre Dame University in Executive Negotiations and Finance.
Chris Thomas joined Deluxe Corporation in July 2019 as Chief Revenue Officer and a member of the Executive Leadership Team.
Chris brings a wealth of sales and technology experience to Deluxe having previously served in senior sales and commercial leadership roles with DXC Technology, Hewlett Packard and Pegasus Logistics Group, among others.
At Deluxe, Chris is responsible for organic revenue growth across the entire company as it accelerates cross-selling of its diversified portfolio of products and services. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and a Master of Business Administration in Professional Accounting, both from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York.
