Having just returned from a destination golf trip with a few buddies, I always marvel at what people will spend on swag when they are away or pursuing a passion they love. I have traveled for work for a long time and when my kids were younger, I’d always find something with the name of my locale to bring home to them. They have been inundated with sweatshirts, stuffed animals, hats, etc. with the names San Francisco, New York, Washington DC and more.

On that golf trip, as we paid handsomely for the chance to lose golf balls in the Arizona desert, we also sought baseball caps and shirts with the course name on them, providing tangible symbol of the trip itself. From the golf balls themselves, to coffee mugs, even lip gloss: anything you can think of has a company named emblazoned on it.

Now, you might be asking how a promotional solutions contract is helping Deluxe evolve in payments and technology. As a sponsor of the Carrera Cup racing series, Deluxe will gain name recognition on the cars, at the races and through our promotional solutions that Porsche displays during race weekends. Bringing two legacy brands together like Deluxe and Porsche to promote the latest racing series on North American soil was a no brainer for us.

This new racing league is led by young, eager car enthusiasts who are sharing their stories and triumphs all over social media. Owner of 311 racing, Ryan Gates, shares compelling videos of his Deluxe race car and team on YouTube, Instagram and other channels to gain support and recognition for their efforts. Attaching the name of the Original Payments Company will open our world to new audiences who flock to these events.
