Mark K. Swanson helps community financial institutions optimize performance by fostering a performance banking culture that transforms operations at all levels. With a career beginning in 1988 as a Management Associate at First Atlanta Bank, Mark advanced to roles including Senior Lender and Acting President and CEO of Northside Bank. During the Great Recession, he successfully guided Northside Bank from near failure to profitability by reshaping its culture and leveraging tools like Banker's Dashboard. His efforts led to a dramatic improvement in the bank’s net interest margin, raising capital, and a successful merger despite widespread challenges in Georgia’s banking sector.
Since joining Banker’s Dashboard in 2021, Mark has worked with numerous banks to drive growth and profitability through cultural transformation and performance management solutions. He often cites Banker’s Dashboard’s track record of enabling clients to outperform industry averages by over 80 basis points in net interest margin. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Internal Audit from Berry College and completed the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University. He resides outside Atlanta with his wife and dreams of exploring the country’s National and State Parks in a camper someday.
