Brad Tidwell is the CEO of VeraBank and has been in this position since 2008 after joining the bank in 2007 as COO. Since joining VeraBank, the bank has grown from $700 million in assets and 15 locations to $4.3 billion in assets and 39 locations in East, Southeast, and Central Texas. The bank also has $1.22 billion in AUM in its Wealth Management division.
Prior to joining VeraBank, Brad was Chairman and CEO of JPMorgan Chase’s (JPMC) Western Ohio Region for eight years. He spent a total of 17 years with JPMC and its predecessor Bank One in Ohio and Texas. He spent the first six-plus years of his career with Allied Bancshares in their Dallas Market.
Brad has always been active in his community and with various organizations. Most recently he was Past-Chairman of the Board of the Longview Museum of Fine Arts, Immediate Past-Chairman of the Texas A&M Commercial Banking Program at the Mays Business School, on the Board of Texas 2036 and on the Advisory Board of the Longview Arboretum and Nature Center. He also previously held two terms as Chairman of the Longview Chamber of Commerce.
In the banking industry, Brad has served on the Board of the Independent Bankers Association of Texas (IBAT) for 10 years and was chairman in 2020-2021. He is Chairman of the Legislative Committee for the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and is a past member of RMA’s Community Bank Council.
Brad is a native of Longview, Texas, and has lived there for the past 17 years. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a BS in Ag Economics and a MA in Ag Finance. He is also a 1991 graduate of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking.
