Steve Hackett is a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Jack Henry and a recognized leader in financial technology with a tenure spanning over two decades in the payments industry. Since joining Jack Henry in 2005, Steve has specialized in leading agile software teams focused on delivering value-add payment solutions that bolster the competitive position of U.S.-based banks and credit unions.
Steve is instrumental in advancing Jack Henry’s position at the forefront of the payments market, having led efforts to integrate Jack Henry products with various payment funding and disbursement rails, significantly increasing money movement capabilities for customers. Complementing this technical leadership, Steve utilizes a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification to invoke a culture of continuous improvement across teams, evolving from an early role as a Technical Business Analyst to now overseeing diverse areas of IT leadership.
Currently, Steve works within Jack Henry's Payments division, helping financial institutions navigate the complex banking landscape by focusing on three strategic pillars: providing foundational core technology, enabling seamless digital and faster payments, and facilitating open integration and modernization. Steve is an active mentor within the organization, guiding others on leadership development and process efficiency. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from George Mason University.
