Once I saw that karate was my tool for helping my community I knew I had to teach. That’s why I do what I do.
Hiroshi Allen has been teaching karate since he was 15 years old and practicing since age four. But for Allen, his small business offers so much more than teaching martial arts. Specializing in lessons for kids since 2001, Hiro Karate prides itself on being a place where children in need of structure, discipline, self-defense skills, or simply a sense of belonging, can find refuge and feel at home.
Despite the challenge of standing out among the many schools in Las Vegas, considered to be the world capital of martial arts, if Allen can make a difference in the lives of his students, that’s all that matters.
“Just seeing what karate does for the confidence of my students is what makes me the happiest.”
