When the stamp is pressed onto a surface, the ink transfers directly from the stamp surface to the paper, leaving a clear, even impression. Pre-inked stamps do not have separate ink pads. You are able to refill pre-inked stamps by replenishing the ink reservoir within the stamp.
• Self-inking stamps have a built-in ink pad that rests against the stamp surface when not in use and re-inks after each impression. When the stamper is pressed down, the stamping mechanism flips the stamp surface onto the paper leaving behind a clear impression. You can easily refill self-inked stamps when they run dry.
